Bill Hornbuckle is the CEO and President of MGM Resorts International.
He began his career in service positions at the Jockey Club and Flamingo Hilton. For 15 years, he worked within Wynn Resorts, where he was involved in the opening of The Mirage hotel and casino in 1989. In 1997, he served as the President of Caesars Palace.
In 1998, Hornbuckle joined MGM Resorts International. Within the company, he held positions as President of individual properties, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Chief Operating Officer (COO). During this period, he played a key role in the acquisition of Mandalay Resort Group.
In March 2020, he was appointed Acting CEO, and in July 2020, he became the permanent CEO of MGM Resorts.
In his current role, Hornbuckle oversees 30 of the company’s properties worldwide. Under his leadership, the BetMGM online platform was launched, and partnership agreements were secured with the NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA.
