Paul Chaloner, known as Redeye, is a British esports host. He began his career in 2002 as a Quake commentator on ClanBase. From 2005 to 2006, he served as a producer and commentator for the Global Gaming League, covering championships across the USA, China, and Singapore.
From 2007 to 2012, Chaloner was a host and commentator at QuadV, where he worked on the finals of the WCG and Intel Extreme Masters. In 2013, he assumed the role of Head of Content and Media at Turtle Entertainment. Between April 2015 and February 2016, he led the broadcast department at Gfinity Plc, during which time he became a regular host for premier Dota 2 (The International) and Counter-Strike championships.
In November 2016, Chaloner became the Managing Director of Code Red Esports, a firm providing brand consulting and talent management services. From 2016 to 2018, he also served on the advisory board of the British Esports Association. In June 2020, Chaloner announced his retirement from the industry and stepped down from his leadership role at Code Red Esports.
