Alexis Ohanian

Alexis Ohanian is the Founder of Seven Seven Six, an entrepreneur, and an investor.

His career in the tech industry began in 2005 with the founding of Reddit. In 2006, he sold the project to the publishing house Conde Nast but remained actively involved in the company’s management as Executive Chairman of the Board until 2020.

In his current position at Seven Seven Six, he focuses on backing startups in the Crypto, Finance, and e-Commerce sectors.

Beyond business, Ohanian is deeply committed to social initiatives and philanthropy. In 2020, he left Reddit’s board of directors, calling for greater racial diversity in tech leadership. He also established the 776 Foundation to support projects tackling climate change and inequality.

Before launching his own fund, Ohanian co-founded Initialized Capital and was a partner at Y Combinator. Over the course of his investment career, he has supported more than 40 unicorns at their early stages, including Coinbase, OpenSea, Patreon, and Sky Mavis (Axie Infinity).
