The information posted on the AFFCatalog platform is taken exclusively from open sources, such as official company websites, publicly available databases, open business registers, advertising, presentation and marketing materials, press releases, public profiles, and pages on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), access to which is not restricted and does not require authorization.
By Article 6(1)(f) of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), the processing of personal data is lawful if it is performed based on a legitimate interest of the data controller, provided that such interests do not override the interests and fundamental rights of the data subject. The AFFCatalog team processes such information solely for informational catologization and navigation within a professional community without distorting its content or distributing it for commercial purposes.
When processing personal data, AFFCatalog complies with the basic principles:
- Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency: AFFCatalog processes only publicly available information from open sources;
- Target limitation: information is used exclusively for informational purposes within the cataloging professional community;
- Data minimization: AFFCatalog does not publish sensitive information and does not collect unnecessary data;
- Accuracy: AFFCatalog strives to keep data relevant. Hence, users can notify us of changes at any time;
- Storage limitation: data is updated and revised periodically. It is not stored longer than necessary for informational purposes;
- Integrity and confidentiality: no information is transferred to third parties and is not used for automatic profiling (for example, AFFCatalog does not "sell bases" and does not make hidden uploads. All data is posted on the website as long as it's available in the source).
AFFCatalog does not collect sensitive personal data (e.g., data on health, political views, or religious beliefs), conduct profiling, or use data for automated decision-making.
